HIKING: Cabwaylingo State Forest

Description

We offer several scenic trails for hikers. Along these paths, hikers can capture the scenic beauty of the forest and enjoy the many varieties of wildflowers and trees growing in the area. Overhanging rock cliffs can be found along several of these rustic trails. In the past, these cliffs provided shelter for early settlers in the area. Trails range from one mile to three miles in length.

Directions

Located in Wayne County in south western West Virginia, Cabwaylingo State Forest is located midway between Huntington and Williamson. The forest may be reached by following US. Rt. 152 for about 42 miles south of Huntington and turning off at Missouri Branch.
